A prince substitutes for his suicidal sister to marry a dragon king who reshapes his body for an heir.
To save Lawrence from a broken blood pact, Prince Laren becomes Dragon King Arthur's bride instead of his sister Lily. Arthur has loved Laren for twelve years, ever since the boy rescued him from death. He proceeds with the marriage despite Laren's male form, wielding pure-blood dragon magic to alter his body so he can carry a dragon egg. The old Dragon King and the noble Cecilia conspire to assassinate Laren, forcing the couple into a lethal duel where the conceived egg's power preserves his life. Meanwhile, Arthur's possessive devotion clashes with Laren's fear of being merely a breeder.
