A mafia don falls for a merman who only wants his pearl back.
Mafia king Hadrian survives a near-drowning when merman Marinus drags him ashore and presses a pearl into his hand. The two share a single night together. Afterward, Marinus repeatedly returns to retrieve his property, but Hadrian reads every visit as intentional seduction. What begins as a misunderstanding gradually deepens into genuine affection on the crime lord's side, even as the sea dweller remains focused solely on recovering the gem.
