An orphan's typo summons the Devil as her unlikely guardian.
Six-year-old Poppy survives in a freezing shack after her parents died rescuing strangers. A Christmas Eve spelling error addresses her wish to Satan instead of Santa. The Devil answers by sending Cerberus, reduced to one head with a red bow, to watch over his new believer. Renamed Pippy, the talking hellhound chases off a vagrant intruder and becomes her first real family. When school bullying escalates, Satan manifests as a giant shadow to scatter the tormentors, violating infernal law and suffering black lightning wounds. Poppy senses her unseen protector and sends a whispered recording back with the hound. Later, authorities arrive to place her in an orphanage. Ignoring unhealed injuries, Satan appears as Lucifer Morningstar and legally adopts her. On Christmas, she wishes to see her parents once more. Lucifer storms Heaven, scorched by holy light, to retrieve their souls for a final dream reunion.
