A miner with a gold-sensing finger defies his exploitative brother to claim a massive vein.
Caleb Reed possesses a deformed middle finger that detects gold deposits, a gift his brother Travis exploited for years while paying Caleb pennies and ridiculing him. After breaking away, Caleb purchases an abandoned claim dismissed by everyone except Linda, who stands by him. Using his ability, he charts an enormous vein beneath the worthless land. As Travis's established mines run dry, Caleb readies his operation to extract the treasure and finally validate his worth.
