A vampire's substitute wife faces fatal magic after he chooses his resurrected first love.
Elena spent three years as James's wife, convinced their bond was genuine. The night of her turning ceremony, his dead first love Vicky returned wearing Elena's exact face, and James immediately chose Vicky instead. The abandoned ritual ignited a magical fire in Elena's blood, leaving her exactly one week to live. She signed the divorce papers without protest, removed her ruby ring, and left the mansion, collapsing on the steps as she walked out. James later knelt begging for her return, but she never turned around.
