A fox bride loses her heart to her groom, then wages war for revenge.
On her wedding night, Cassian cuts the crystalline heart from his fox-spirit bride to save Isolde, while her clan is slaughtered around them. Thrown into a dungeon, she survives by severing her own tail and shaping it into a blade. She escapes and pledges herself to the Beast King Draven, joining his forces in a campaign against Cassian. When the war brings them face to face, he collapses begging for her return, but she answers by piercing his chest and tearing out his heart. She abandons the queen's throne at Draven's side to keep Cassian in endless torment at her mountain stronghold, until a soft voice reaches her — her runaway queen, he smiles.
