A stand-in date sparks a CEO romance that collapses when the real catfish target returns.
Leah Bennett agrees to meet a wealthy stranger as a favor to Mia, who has been catfishing him using Leah's photos and taking his money. At the cafe, Leah finds not an older man but Aiden Black, the young CEO of Black Group, and they embark on an intense three-week relationship. Mia's return exposes Aiden's looming engagement to a New York heiress. Leah pulls away and moves to the guest room, but Aiden fakes illness and surveils her to keep her close. When Mia needs help again, Leah meets the actual online suitor, Noah, a gentle man self-conscious about a jaw scar. Before she can explain, Aiden summons her to his office, where she discovers his deception and the engagement is still proceeding. Their confrontation erupts into a clash of attraction, secrets, and distrust, with Aiden refusing to let her go and resorting to extreme measures to bind her to him.
