Alpha Kael denies his dying mate the Saintess title and its life-saving water.
Elara has been the Moon Goddess's choice for Saintess of the Silver Moon Pack for seven consecutive years. Each time, her fated mate Alpha Kael Ashborne awards the honor and its sacred Silver Spring water to Rosalie, their adopted Omega sister, insisting she requires the status for pack respect. Elara's parents celebrate Rosalie and dismiss Elara's protests as childish tantrums. Unknown to them, Elara suffers from Wolf Soul Decay Syndrome; the water is the sole treatment keeping her alive. With a single month remaining, she ceases all resistance.
